Darkness and Despair

"Miss Lina! Please! Stop that!" Pleaded Sylphiel, tugging on Gourry's arm. Lina arched a brow at her and gave Gourry a final punch over the head and decided to find something else to do. Sylphiel helped Gourry to his feet. Lina narrowed her eyes and turned to face a certain smiling priest. "Are you sure we're going the right way, Xelloss?" She asked coldly, her ruby eyes flashing. "Why of course, Miss Lina. I am quite certain you are on the right road." "Quite certain? What the hell does that mean?" Xelloss shrugged, smiling innocently. Lina grabbed the cuff of his cloak and pulled him towards her. "I'm only going to ask this one more time. Are we going the right way or not?" "I love it when you get fierce." "Tell me!" "Y... yes...you are..." "Good. That's all I wanted to know." She dropped him and turning, she walked away, leaving a very surprised and disappointed Xelloss.

"Amelia! Have you seen Lina?" Asked Zelgadiss, appearing suddenly. Amelia's cheeks flushed. "No... no... I haven't, Mister Zelgadiss." "Damn. Well what about Gourry?" "I think he's with Miss Lina." Zelgadiss sat down. "I hope so." "Is something wrong, Mister Zelgadiss?" She asked, taking a seat next to him. Zelgadiss sighed. "Well Lina was going to go talk to Xelloss. She thinks he may be leading us all off track and she has to know if this is true or not. But you know how Xelloss is..." "Oh dear!" Amelia cried, her hands covering her mouth. "We should go look for them!" "I'll go!" he replied quickly, standing up. "Stay here... Incase she comes back or something." Amelia pouted and crossed her arms angrily. "Why can't I come?" she called after Zelgadiss as he ran off. "It's too dangerous. " He replied over his shoulder, soon disappearing from sight.

Lina blinked, studying her surroundings. The trees looked different. This was not the way she had come, she was sure of it. "Gourry! Sylphiel! Can you guys hear me?" She called. No reply. Something was wrong. She dug into her pocket and pulled out her compass. The needle was spinning, so fast it made her dizzy just looking at it. She sighed and shoved it back into her pocket. She crossed her arms and stared straight ahead. She rarely lost her way, and for the compass to go berserk like that meant only one thing...

"Mazoku."

"Gourry dear! Where are you going?" Sylphiel called, trying to catch up with her beloved blonde beau. "I've got to find Lina. She should have been back by now." "Wait for me, Gourry dear!"

"Lina!" Zelgadiss called, floating high in the air. "Lina! If you can here me, please answer!"

Curse that sadistic little fruitcake. If he so much as hurt Lina, he would have to pay. Yet Zel wasn't really worried about Xelloss hurting Lina. It was something much worse...

Lina frowned slightly, poising herself just right to prepare for an attack. "Show yourself!" she demanded. She heard a rustle in the bush next to her and she leaped away, readying a fireball.

A small fawn peeked its head out and looked at Lina. "You gave me quite a scare, little fella." She said, laughing. Her laughter was short lived, however, when a hand covered her mouth and dragged her away.

Gourry paused for a moment and looked into the sky. "Do you hear that?" he asked, turning to Sylphiel. She paused, listening intently. "Why... It's Mister Zelgadiss!" "Hey Zel!" Gourry yelled, waving. "Down here!"

Zelgadiss paused and looked down. Gourry! With... Sylphiel. But no Lina. Shit, thought Zel to himself, landing on the ground. "Gourry! Where's Lina?" "She went to go talk to Xelloss, but she hasn't come back yet." "How long ago was that?" Sylphiel bit her lip. "That was this morning..." Zel's eyes widened. "But the sun is starting to set! You mean she's been gone all day?" Sylphiel nodded. Zelgadiss turned and punched a tree, knocking it over. "I'm going to kill whoever is responsible for this." He said angrily, his blue eyes turning cold. He sighed deeply and looked up at Gourry and Sylphiel. "Let's go."

Lina groaned and opened her eyes. It was dark. Cold. But she was not outside. She was on a bed. And she couldn't move her arms. Feeling something brush her cheek, she turned to see her captor beside her, smiling inquisitively. "Xelloss. I should have known." She said, clenching her teeth. Xelloss smiled, pretending to be a bit hurt. "You're not happy to see me, Lina-chan? I can change that." His grin turned sinister as he climbed on top of her. "Get off me, you bastard." Lina growled, glaring up at him. "Try and make me." He replied, laughing. Lina frowned and shoved her knee into his groin, causing him to double over in pain. "Why Lina." He moaned. "I do believe you have broken my goods." "Good." Xelloss grinned evilly, opening his eyes. "Luckily for you, Lina-chan, I have a dildo around here somewhere." Lina face-faulted. "You what?" "I have a dildo somewhere." "...."

"Where did you last see her?" Zelgadiss asked, his eyes on the path ahead. Sylphiel hesitated. "Buy the pond." She replied. "She was meeting Xelloss and she wanted to talk to him in private." "Damn. We should have never left her alone with him. If Only I had insisted - "

Gourry clapped his hand down on Zel's shoulder. "It's not your fault. You didn't know. And she wanted to talk to him in private." Zelgadiss looked down at the ground, his head hung. "I never trusted Xelloss. You know that. I should have kept my eye on her." "Mister Zelgadiss..." said Sylphiel softly. "Listen to Dear Gourry. It's not your fault. Now quit blaming yourself and let's go find her." Zelgadiss smiled at her weakly and nodded. "Right..."

Xelloss chuckled. "Oh come now, Lina-chan. I was only kidding." He smiled. Lina frowned, glaring at him. "You sure have weird taste in humor." "Ne ne, Lina-chan," he replied, climbing back on top of her. "Is that a compliment?" "No! Get off!" He grinned in response. "And if I say no?" Lina paused. Xelloss was a lot stronger then her. He smiled. "There's nothing you can do to stop me, Lina-chan. You might as well enjoy it." "You're disgusting." "Oh my." He smiled. "What's with all the flattery if you don't want me?" Lina growled and began to struggle to break free until Xelloss had to pin her arms down to keep her still. "Just relax, Lina-chan." He whispered in her ear, beginning to kiss at her neck hungrily. He released her arm and moved his now free hand up her inner thigh. Lina whimpered and squeezed her eyes shut. "Please...stop."Xelloss grinned and continued kissing her neck, his free hand fumbling with her belt. He released her other arm and slipped it up inside her tunic. Lina inhaled sharply. "Stop it!" Xelloss smirked and opened his eyes to gaze at his unwilling lover, and for a moment, Lina was enchanted. "You like it though, ne?" he asked her softly, removing his hand from under her shirt to stroke her face. "You don't really want me to stop." Lina growled. "Don't say that! You don't know what I want, you're not me!" Xelloss smiled calmly. "I can see it in your eyes." He smiled and brushed his fingers against her lips. "You don't really want me to stop, do you?" Lina blushed profusely and looked away. "No? Thought so." He smiled and returned to kissing her neck, sliding her hand back down her thigh. Lina inhaled sharply and nervously fumbled with his belt, untying it. Xelloss' grin widened and he unfastened her belt and tossed it aside. Lina sat up and slipped out of her tunic, giving him time to remove his own shirt as well. He unzipped her jeans and slid them down a ways and she grinned, kicking them off. Xelloss smiled and slipped his own pants off. He placed his hands on her shoulders and began to kiss her neck once more. Lina closed her eyes and sighed, leaning her head back. Xelloss grinned and continued to kiss down her neck, her lips brushing against her collarbone. Nervously, Lina wrapped her arms around him, pulling his body closer to hers. Xelloss placed his hand on the inner part of her thigh and began to rub her gently, kissing past her collarbone. Lina gasped and leaned forward, nipping at the hollow of his neck, causing him to gasp in surprise. He drew back from her and smiled. "I'm glad you're finally getting into this, Lina-chan." He whispered, driving his knee in between her legs and forcing them apart. Lina smiled in response and leaned back, pulling him down with her. Xelloss positioned himself carefully between her. "Ne, are you ready?" he asked, his violet eyes on her. She nodded, gripping him tightly. "My Lina..." he whispered, thrusting into her forcefully. Lina gasped in both surprise and pain, feeling Xelloss rip through her virginity and she gripped him harder. He smiled and ran his hands up his sides, gripping her as he thrusted for a second time. Lina moaned, digging her nails into the flesh on his back and drawing forth blood. A deep moan escaped Xelloss' lips and he paused, moving around inside of her. Lina sighed with pleasure, releasing her grip on him to rub his shoulders. Xelloss opened his eyes and smiled down at her, his violet eyes sparkling. Lina returned the smile. He leaned over and kissed her passionately, placing his left hand beneath her neck to bring her head up. Lina kissed him back, moaning from the pleasure of his movements inside her. She shyly opened her mouth and he thrust his tongue in, mapping inside of her as she moaned. Lina sighed and leaned back into the pillow, pulling Xelloss with her. He grinned, breaking the kiss slowly. Slowly he began to kiss down her neck again, and Lina sighed with pleasure as his lips once more brushed against her collarbone. He moved his hands up in between her legs, kissing down her body until he reached her breast. Lina gasped as she felt his lips touch her nipple, gently nibbling on his. With his free hand, he reached for the other one and rubbed it. "Xelloss..." Lina moaned, her back arching involuntarily. He grinned, tracing circles around it with his tongue, causing Lina's flesh to break out in goose bumps and she gasped loudly as he bit down on her. She reached down to him and ran her fingers through his hair, tugging on it. Xelloss smiled, sucking on her gently while his hand continued to caress her. After a few moments he pulled himself up a bit and smiled down at Lina, who smiled back seductively. He wrapped both arms around her and pulled up close to him, holding her against his body firmly. He lifted her legs up and wrapped them around him. "My Lina." He whispered, thrusting into her as hard as he could, causing his small lover to cry out and grip his arms tightly. He kissed her neck hungrily as he entered her again, repeating the action over and over. Lina's breath quickened and she moved with him, matching his increasing force and speed. A soft moan escaped his lips as he felt his climax approaching and he quickened his speed, kissing Lina's shoulder. She gripped his arms tighter and moaned as he climaxed, releasing and releasing her. Slipping out of her, Xelloss smiled and leaned back, breathing heavily. Next to him, Lina was panting and she smiled up at him and he smiled back, pulling her close to him so he could hold her. "My Lina." He whispered, kissing her gently.

Zelgadiss slumped down on a nearby rock and buried his head in his hands. "This is all my fault." He moaned, shaking his head in angst. "If only I had insisted to go with her. If only I had watched her in secrecy. If only..."

Gourry grabbed his shoulders and shook him firmly. "Zelgadiss, snap out of it! We'll find her. And you know as well as I do that Lina can take care of herself. Just calm down." Zelgadiss looked up at his dense yet somehow wise friend. "I know your right. But it doesn't make me feel any better. What if she met her match, some body or some thing even she couldn't defeat? We weren't there to help her and..." "Mister Zelgadiss!" Sylphiel cut in, raising her voice for what seemed like the first time ever. "Please! Stop jumping to conclusions. Miss Lina is Alive and well." "How can you be so certain?" "I'm a shrine maiden of Sairaag, remember? I have psychic powers." Zelgadiss bit his lip "Do you know where she is?" Sylphiel shook her head. "Her presence is very weak and has already faded. However..." she pointed up ahead of them "It gets stronger over there." Zelgadiss stood up and looked at her, then at Gourry. "We'll go that way then." And before either of them could say a word he took off in that direction, leaving them no choice but to follow.

Amelia shivered and tossed another piece of wood onto the fire. "Oh, why do I always get left behind?" she complained, hugging her knees. "I wish Mister Zelgadiss paid more attention to me." She said, blushing. "He should notice me more. I'm much prettier then Miss Lina, and she's under developed. And she's so mean to everybody! I don't see what Mister Zelgadiss and Mister Gourry see in her. Mister Xelloss, I can understand. She's just like him. But Mister Zelgadiss and Mister Gourry are nothing like her." She stood up, suddenly furious. "Now I see! Miss Lina's heart is so black that she cast a spell on Mister Zelgadiss and Mister Gourry. A spell of lust, to make them fall in love with her!" She clenched her fist angrily. "How could she stoop so low!" She's keeping Mister Gourry from poor Miss Sylphiel. And She's keeping Mister Zelgadiss..."Amelia hung her head and a single tear slid down her cheek.

"...From me."

After giving herself a few moments to calm down, Amelia began to rummage through the camping gear. She pulled out a large book with a strange design on it. It was a magic book and it belonged to Lina. Amelia fell to her knees and opened it, randomly flipping through the pages. "Fire magic, Offensive...Water...Wind..." She stopped flipping for a moment and squinted. "Mind control and Possession! Here it is!" She calmed down and began to read. "Okay, to break a mind control or possession spell, the caster himself must undo the spell or else the spell will not break until he perishes." Amelia bit her lip. "That means...I would have to kill Miss Lina in order to break the spell she has on Mister Zelgadiss and Mister Gourry." She sighed deeply. "I don't want to hurt her. Miss Lina is my friend. But she's evil and an enemy of Justice! And She won't let Mister Zelgadiss and Mister Gourry go easily. She'd try to kill me first. Maybe I have to...to give her a taste of her own medicine." She stood up and closed the book. "For Mister Zelgadiss!" She said, cracking a maniacal smile as she drew forth a large dagger. Grinning, she hid the dagger inside her boot and took off to find her beloved Zelgadiss.

Xelloss lay beside Lina, her leg curled around his. Both lay on their left side, with Xelloss' arms wrapped around his lover. Lina smiled and snuggled up underneath his chin. "So what would you like to do now, Lina-chan?" he asked, pulling his arms out from around her to prop himself up. Lazily he caressed Lina's side, kissing behind her ear as he did so. Lina grinned. "Have anything in mind?" "Oh, I might have a few ideas that would interest you." Xelloss replied, grinning widely. He forced her down on her back, kissing her neck hungrily. Lina grinned and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close to her.

"Xelloss..." called a voice suddenly from somewhere Lina couldn't see. "Xelloss, come here for a moment." "Oh hell..." he replied, groaning with annoyance and disappointment as he crawled off of Lina. She pouted. "What is it?" "Mistress wills my presence." He kissed his fingertip and put it to her lips before she could protest. "Wait here. I'll be back shortly." "You're going to go like that?" she asked, surveying his nude body with admiration. He chuckled. "It will put her in a good mood. And somehow I always end up like this anyway." He grinned and kissed her deeply. "My Lina. I'll be back soon." He said, phasing out. Lina sighed and pulled the blanket around her, shivering a bit.

Sylphiel jumped suddenly and latched onto Gourry's arm. "What is it?" he asked, reaching for his sword. "I heard something..." she said timidly, hiding behind him. Zelgadiss turned around and looked at her. "What did it sound like?" he asked, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. "It was a loud "snap" and it came from over there." Sylphiel pointed to a darker part of the woods. "Gourry dear...I'm scared. Let's go back. It's dark..."she shivered. "And cold. I can't even s - " she suddenly tripped and fell. "Ow..." Gourry stopped to help her up. "Are you alright?" "My ankle...it hurts." Gourry leaned over and picked her up. "Hold on to me." He told her as he stood back up. Sylphiel blushed profusely. "You can't carry me. It's too far. I'm too heavy. You'll get tired. We'll slow down Zel - " "Really Sylphiel," he replied, cutting her off. "It's okay. You're hurt. It's the least I can do." He smiled down at her and continued after Zel.

Meanwhile, inside the woods, Amelia stopped and pulled out the dagger. She squeezed her eyes shut and sliced the blade across her side, then her leg, then put a few nicks in various other places. She smiled, waiting for blood to start flowing from the new wounds. Hearing voices, she quickly hid the dagger back in her boot and stumbled out of the wood.

"Damn it's getting dark." Zelgadiss growled to himself, casting a light spell. Behind him, Gourry carried the wounded Sylphiel. "Can you tell if she's nearby?" Zelgadiss asked Sylphiel, not turning around. Before she could reply, another loud snap was heard. Zelgadiss stopped and drew his sword. "Something evil is nearby." Sylphiel murmured softly to herself. "Something bad is about to happen." Zelgadiss flinched when he heard a rustle in the bushes but he was shocked when a wounded Amelia emerged. "Amelia?" he exclaimed, resheathing his sword. "What happened?" Amelia fell to her knees and Zelgadiss ran up to her, kneeling down in front of her. "Amelia, what happened?" "M...Miss Lina..." said Amelia weakly, coughing up blood. "She's gone crazy." She coughed again and passed out in his arms. He turned his head to look at Gourry and Sylphiel, whose faces were white with shock. "Lina wouldn't do this...would she?" he asked bitterly, holding Amelia's bleeding body close to him. Sylphiel bit her lip, her eyes wide with fear. "All I can feel is this blackness around. Miss Lina's not like that." Zelgadiss picked up Amelia and stood up. His blue eyes were cold with anger. "She is now." He said bitterly, looking up. "Thanks to Xelloss."

Lina unwrapped the blanket from around her and stood up, still nude. Xelloss had only been gone about ten minutes but she was bored. Sighing, she paced slowly across the room, waiting anxiously for her lover to return. She gasped in shock as he appeared in front of her suddenly. He hugged her. "Did you missed me, Lina-chan?" he asked, grinning. Lina smiled happily. "What did Mommy want?" she asked, nibbling on his ear. He smiled and kissed her bare shoulder tenderly. "It would seem," he said, rubbing her back slowly "That your little justice loving friend has gone insane." He began kissing her neck. "Amelia?" Lina replied, leaning her head back. "Why? What's wrong with her?" Xelloss slid his hands down to her legs, lifting them up to wrap around him. "Well she's hurt herself and then told your friends that you did it." Lina blinked. "Amelia? No way. She's not stupid." Xelloss frowned. "Well she's convinced you're up to no good and plans to stop you. I don't know any more. That's all that Mistress told me." He titled his head to one side, examining her face with great interest. "Do you want to go to them? To find out what's going on?" Lina bit her lip and looked into his eyes. "I think so. I want to know what Amelia has against me and why. And I want Zel and the others to know I didn't hurt her." Xelloss smiled and kissed her softly on the lips, letting her down. "Get dressed then. Would you like me to come with you?" Lina nodded. "I think I would need some support on this one."

Zelgadiss gently put the unconscious Amelia down and Gourry did the same with Sylphiel. Gourry looked at the princess lying there covered in blood. "Do you think you can heal her?" he asked Sylphiel." Sylphiel bit her lip. "I really do hope so." She replied, closing her eyes and spreading her hands over Amelia's body. Zelgadiss and Gourry watched as Sylphiel's hands began to glow, spreading her white magic across Amelia's body. Slowly the wounds began to close and the bleeding stopped. The blood disappeared from her clothing and she sighed, as if she was asleep having peaceful dreams. Sylphiel touched her forehead. "Whew." She said. "I feel dizzy." Zelgadiss frowned. "Healing her has weakened you. You should rest." Sylphiel shook her head. "I'm fine. I just need a moment." Gourry knelt down beside her and put his hand on her forehead. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, a worried look on his face. "I'm fine." She said, reassuring him. "I'm more worried about Miss Amelia." She smiled and touched the younger girl's forehead. Amelia groaned and opened her eyes. "Miss Syphiel! Mister Zelgadiss! Mister Gourry! What's going on?" "Calm down Amelia, you're okay. What happened?" Amelia blinked and looked down at her body. "I'm...I'm okay. Was it all a dream?" Zelgadiss shook his head. "Sylphiel healed you. Please, what happened?" "Well, the last thing I can remember was I was at the campsite and Miss Lina shows up. She's acting normal at first. Then suddenly she pulls out her sword and..." Amelia's voice trailed off and she began to cry. "I ran. I was all alone. I was looking for Mister Zelgadiss to help me. She came after me..." Sylphiel hugged her warmly. "Don't worry Amelia, you're okay now."

"That's a first rate act if I ever saw one." Said a new, familiar voice. Sylphiel looked up. "Miss Lina!" "Lina!" Gourry said, somewhat relieved his best friend was okay. "Where have you been? Amelia got hurt and..." he paused. "Why did you hurt Amelia?" Zelgadiss stood up and drew his sword, pointing it at Lina. "That's what I'd like to know." "Really Zelgadiss, do you honestly think I would do something like this to dear Amelia." "I don't know what you're capable of." Sylphiel looked up at Lina, a tear sliding down her cheek. "Why?" "Really guys, I can't believe you would think I'd do something like try to kill Amelia." Zelgadiss frowned. "Xelloss' has a bad influence on you and with just a little push I'll bet he could make you do anything." "Now wait just a minute! Xelloss doesn't have anything to do with this!" "Did he turn you?" "What?" "Did he turn you?" "What the hell are you talking about?" Zelgadiss sighed. "Did he make you...like him?" Lina raised an eyebrow. "You mean...Mazoku? Of course not." Zelgadiss sighed with relief. If Lina was still human that meant that she was still pretty much herself. Then why would she do something to try and hurt Amelia, then deny it? He knew Lina pretty well if she wasn't anything, it was a liar. But neither was Amelia. "Where's Xelloss?" he asked her, his eyes locking onto hers. She returned the gaze. "Right behind me." She replied as Xelloss phased in behind her. "Why hello there!" he said cheerfully. "How are you all doing?" Zelgadiss growled. "Why don't you tell us that?" "Oh come now. If Lina really is your friend, you should have a lot more faith in her." "You're a bad influence Xelloss. You could easily have manipulated her into trying to kill Amelia and then lying about it." Xelloss opened his eyes. "Now why would I want to do that?" he asked. "Amelia has no part in any of my plans, nor does she stand in the way of them. Not yet, anyways." Zelgadiss' eyes widened. "What the hell are you talking about?" "Why don't you ask Miss Amelia? She sure seems to know more about this then I do."

Amelia stood up and slowly walked towards Lina and Xelloss. "You appeared at the campfire, Miss Lina. You seemed normal at first. But you turned dark. Evil. You pulled out a knife and lunged at me. I ran to go find Mister Zelgadiss. You came after me." She bent down and pulled the knife out from inside her boot. "This is the knife you used, remember it? You cut me with it." Lina blinked. "Look, Amelia, I don't know where you got this idea that I would try to hurt you, but you know as well as I do that I've been gone this whole time. You've got something against me, why can't you just tell me what and get it over with?" Amelia hung her head and a single tear slid down her cheek. "Why? Why would you want to keep Mister Gourry from poor Miss Sylphiel? Why would you want to keep Mister Zelgadiss from me?" Lina face faulted. "What are you talking about, Amelia?" Amelia's eyes shot open and she glared hard at Lina. "Here's punishment for all your evil deeds!" she yelled, driving the blade deep into Lina's chest. "Lina!" Xelloss cried, shoving Amelia away and catching Lina as she fell to the ground. Lina gasped in pain and fell to her knees, coughing up blood. "Amelia..." she choked out. Zelgadiss growled and ran to Amelia, restraining her before she could do any more damage. "No!" Amelia cried, struggling to break free. "I saved you! Don't you understand!" Zelgadiss grunted. Amelia was a lot stronger then he thought. "Saved us? From what?" "From Lina! She has you under her spell! Killing her was the only way to save you! I did it for you, Zelgadiss."

Lina coughed and smiled up at Xelloss. "I guess there won't be any more days like today." She told him, laughing and coughing up more blood. "Don't talk like that." Xelloss replied. "You're going to be okay. I can help you." "I'm beyond help, Xelloss. Just watch over my pals for me, okay?" "You can do it yourself. Just relax, you're going to be fine." Lina coughed again and smiled up at him. She smiled at Zelgadiss who still restrained the furious Amelia. She smiled at Gourry and Sylphiel and the closed her eyes and exhaled her last breath.

Amelia smiled proudly. "There. You see? Her spell is broken." Zelgadiss shook with anger "Lina..." Sylphiel covered her eyes and began to cry. "Lina!" yelled Gourry, getting up and running to where Xelloss cradled her in his lap. "Lina! Xelloss! Do something! Bring her back!" Xelloss sigh solemnly and shook his head. "I can't do that. The only thing I can do is change her." "Anything! Just bring her back!" Amelia bit her lip. "Why didn't the spell break? The spell was supposed to break once she died..." Gourry turned and glared at her. "Don't you get it? We don't care about Lina because she has some magical hold on us. We care because she's our friend."

Amelia remained silent and Zelgadiss released her and knelt down by Lina's side. "Can you help her?" he asked, looking at Xelloss. Xelloss sighed. "They only thing I can do is make her Mazoku." Zelgadiss sighed deeply. "There's no other way?" "No other way." Zelgadiss thought for moment. "Alright." "You're sure about this?" "If it will help Lina, I'm satisfied." "Are you certain this is what she would want?" "I'm not certain about anything." Zelgadiss replied. "Just do it."

Xelloss smiled and picked up Lina's body. "We'll be back shortly." He told them, standing up. "Both of us." He then phased out, leaving the group to recover.

Zelgadiss turned to Amelia. "Get out of here." He told her, his eyes cold as stone. "Go back to Saillunne. Go back to your father. I don't care where you go. Just leave. Now." Amelia burst into tears and ran off, leaving the friends she had traveled with for two years. Zelgadiss sighed.

Epilogue

Lina giggled and ran her fingers through Xelloss' hair. She pinned him down and began kissing his neck. "We really should get going." Xelloss said, smiling up at her. "You're friends are waiting." "Aww, they can wait a bit longer." Lina replied, rubbing his chest. "This is more important." Xelloss' grinned widened and he wrapped his arms around her, gripping her tightly and holding her close to him. Lina smiled and thrust herself down onto his manhood, causing him to moan deeply. He pulled her down and kissed her. "We...we should go." He moaned, not really wanting to stop. Lina sighed deeply and kissed him back, moving around a bit on top of him. "Fine." She said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "We'll go." She groaned and climbed off of him.

"You know..." Lina said, zipping up her jeans, "This Mazoku thing doesn't sound half bad. I was expecting being turned into some Shabranigdo look a like. Xelloss chuckled. "Ne ne, I would never do that to you, Lina-chan. And even Mistress knew you would make one hell of a Mazoku." Lina grinned. "I'm glad she thinks so. Shall we?" "Let's"

The two phased off, leaving an empty room still thick with their presence.

"Hi Zel! Hi Gourry! Hey Sylphiel!" said a cheerful voice. All three turned around. "Miss Lina! You're back!" exclaimed Sylphiel, running up to her. Gourry and Zelgadiss followed. "How do you feel?" Zelgadiss asked, examining her carefully. Lina smiled and held Xelloss' hand. "Well it was kind of weird at first, knowing I wasn't human and all. But I got used to it and I'm going to make the best of it. Gourry looked at her. "Does this mean we can go back to travelling together like we did before?" he asked. Lina gave him a sad, solemn look. "I'm afraid things won't be the same, Gourry. You see, now that I'm a Mazoku, I'm bound to Xelloss, who made me a Mazoku. Xelloss is bound to Zellas; therefore I am bound to her. I can't just do whatever I want anymore." Gourry looked at her sadly, almost puppy dog like. "I'm going to miss you, Lina." "I'm going to miss you too, Gourry. But it has to be this way. I hope you understand." Gourry nodded, not really understanding but accepting the change anyways. Lina turned to Zelgadiss. "You were really worried about me being gone. I'm glad I have such good friends that care about me." She smiled and kissed him softly on the lips. "Take good care of Sylphiel, Gourry. She loves you." Gourry nodded. "I will."

Lina squeezed Xelloss' hand. "I'm ready to go." She told him, smiling at her friends. "Goodbye everyone. I'll miss you. Maybe I'll even drop in once in a while to say hi." Zelgadiss smiled. "We'd like that." "Good. Bye everyone! Love you! Later!"

The two Mazoku phased out as Lina's friends waved goodbye, wondering if they'd ever see her again.
