This story is a lesson to Xellos to not under estimate Zelgadis. When Lina tries a little experiment he interferes and gets a bad shock. I have to thank Amy for helping me write this story. It was purely her twisted mind that helped this story on its way. Hope you enjoy.
Lina was trying something she had never thought to do, at least not to one of her close friends, but she was feeling naughty for some odd reason. As she showed a piece of treasure to Zelgadis, one that she had gotten in a recent battle with bandits, to distract him from what she was about to do and slowly let out the mind control spell as he was in the middle of a question. His eyes went a bit dazed, then as he realized what she was doing, his eyes opened up a little bit. But before he could say anything she tightened the spell around him as tight as she could get it. His eyes slammed shut and as she watched him closely for a moment his eyes twitched "I do not think so." She rushed to say and did her best to tighten it even more. His eyes stayed shut this time. She sighed with relief and went to tell Amelia that part of the plan was in place.
As soon as she was out of sight who should show up to make trouble but or favorite priest. Xellos teleported into the small clearing that Lina had lured Zelgadis into and let a dark smile go across his face. "Well, well, well. That was very careless of you to leave him all alone here, Lina. Didn't you even think that I would know what you were doing and try to make changes? Then again maybe you didn't. Maybe you are trusting me just a little bit." His smile grows just a little as he relishes the possibilities of the situation. Then his smile droops just a little. "I do have to live with her just a little bit longer though." Then his old smile is back. "I just won't let her know who did it!"
He turned back to his prey and knelt down in front of him. " Zelgadis," he said as he let some of his own powers go into the opposite person, "I know that you are shy, so I am going to remove that shyness and the shyness that you feel towards who you feel desire." If I am right about who that is, Lina should have a few problems on her hands, he thought. Then he let the power go and woke him up just as Lina and Amelia entered the clearing. Zelgadis open his eyes and let his desire darkened eyes roam over the people around him. "Xellos! What are you doing to him? He's my project to work on." Lina cried. "Uh-oh." He said as he turned to face what was coming. "Well, it would have been boring to see everything go just as planned." He stopped as a pair of stone arms locked themselves around his waist. "Huh!" He cried as he realized who had their arms around him. Then his astonishment and his eyes grew as he was pulled back against a stone body. As he protested the embrace he heard a whisper close to his ear " Why are you struggling? You know you want me."
"And you said that it would be boring." Lina said as she and Amelia tried to pull Zelgadis off of Xellos without much success. Xellos was too astonished to phase out of his place and was screaming at them to put more effort into getting him out. When they finally got him out he ran to the other side of the clearing. "What did you tell him anyway?" Lina asked. "Yeah, Mr. Xellos what did you tell him?"
He stammered a little and then he got himself under control "Why Lina, I just took away his shyness toward the affection of his desire. I thought it would be you. I didn't know that he swung that way." Zelgadis , who had been listening to all of this calmly all of the sudden charged at Xellos. Xellos squawked and then ran in the opposite direction and around the fire as Amelia ran after. Lina just watched in amusement knowing that the priest deserved it. This went on for a while before Xellos was tackled by Zelgadis and then Amelia. Then he got an idea and decided to share it with the rest of them. "You know I haven't tried three at one time." This seemed to snap Zel out of it and he sprang backwards until he was behind Lina. Amelia, the unlucky one, could not be as quick. Lina and Zelgadis watched with opened mouths as Xellos wrapped his arms around the girl on top of him and started walking towards Lina and Zel. " This could be kind of fun ." Xellos said as he came nearer to the pair watching him, with Amelia tucked under his arm.
"Uh, Lina what is going on." Zelgadis asked, not feeling inclined to help the struggling princess. Then the statement went through his head and he flushed beet red. "What did he mean by three at a time? Did he mean what I think he means?" By this time Lina was getting good and mad. She was so mad at this situation that her eyes were turning darker and if it weren't for Amelia being in the way she would have lost her temper. All of the sudden Amelia aimed a good kick in a bad place that got Xellos' attention real quick. "Why didn't you save me, Mr. Zelgadis?" he stared at her and said, " I knew you could take care of yourself. You didn't need me in the way." Amelia glared at him and then at Xellos and then back again. "Miss Lina, I think they were just putting us on." She said. "You know what Amelia, I think that you're right." Lina said as she looked between the two men. Then abruptly she and Amelia stomped out of the clearing where Gourry still slept. Xellos at this time was getting a very bad feeling from Zelgadis. He looked back at him and saw that the look of desire was back. Xellos had a very bad feeling about this.
